
Dave Chandler, Director
Dave Chandler recently served as the Director of Community Outreach and Development for Aldo Leopold Charter School in Silver City NM. Previously he held the position of Program Director at the Wellness Coalition in Silver City and Assistant Director for Youth Services at the Volunteer Center of Southern Arizona/Youth Now Collaboration in Tucson, Arizona. Mr. Chandler has 38 years of program and community development experience, working in a variety of faith-based organizations, public school districts, and nonprofit groups. Mr. Chandler specializes in the areas of positive youth development, entrepreneurship, program design, and volunteer management.

Jennifer Metzler, Garden
Jennifer has been part of the team at The Commons since December 2018. She is currently working with schools in Grant County to assist in improving food security through the Alimento program. She also manages our garden program and Free Neighborhood Farm Stands which provide fresh produce for community members.
Prior to her work at The Commons her career centered on health, nutrition, fitness, working with youth, and community building through a hot meal program. Jennifer has spent 31 years of her life in our community and is passionate about serving and partnering with community members in order to see social and economic change. She received her Bachelor of Social Work and Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Western New Mexico University. Jennifer enjoys being surrounded by a garden at work as well as her home and lives with her family and pets in Silver City.

Jay Braddy, Food pantry manager

Annabella (Annie) Crowley, Operations Manager
Annabella Crowley (Annie), has been a part of the Commons for a little over a year now. Starting as an intern in the Spring of 2022, then as a summer associate to now working as the operations manager. She is currently a university student at Western New Mexico University, majoring in Sustainable Development with a concentration in social justice.
