Did you know that The Commons is almost completely staffed by volunteers? 

The Commons is a volunteer-driven organization. With five staff and over 65 volunteers, we get things done with the kindness and dedication of community members. If you are interested in volunteering there are many ways to get involved! 

• Pantry: 

Twice a month in Silver City or once in the Mining District help sort, pack, and distribute boxes to hungry families in need. 

• Repack/Box pack:

Help us repack things like dried beans, rice, grains, and chile to be distributed to our pantries.  

• Garden:

Work in the Gardens to help us harvest, weed, compost, and clean the area.
